Rushing just for fun/unsure/life as independent

If you know you or your family can pay for it and your grades are good, get your recs together and give rush a try.

It's been said here more than once that Bama can be a tough place for those who wanted to be Greek but ended up GDI for whatever reason: they were on the fence about rushing, had an unsuccessful rush, couldn't afford it, etc. If you're reasonably sure you have what it takes to get a bid somewhere and you have an open mind, why not give it a shot rather than wonder "what if?"

If you decide not to do it, do you have friends who are coming here too? If not, you'll need to be willing to put in the work to find your fit socially.
