Rushing as a sophomore transfer?

I’m transferring to bama in the fall and really hoping to rush. Does being a sophomore hurt my chances? I dont know anyone on campus and I’m worried about not getting a bid.

I rushed as sophomore and it went great but I know others who did and it did not go well so I think it is really just based on the person. You are at more of a disadvantage than a freshman but it doesn’t mean your rush will be bad.

So along with a general quota on how many members houses have to take, they also all get a sophomore quota too, based on how many are rushing. So while it might seem intimidating being surrounded by so many freshmen, you’re actually not “competing” with them directly

This!! my big was on recruitment last year and she was telling me my house had "loose quotas" on upperclassmen because of girls who had dropped or too few good quality freshmen. I'm sure many girls dropped this year because we're paying so much without getting the full experience so there will def be open spots for you in the fall :)

Y'all need to understand that Quota is not a number the houses HAVE to take, it is the maximum number they are ALLOWED to take. Houses don't care about taking the maximum quota for upperclassmen and won't give out filler bids like they do for freshmen.
