If you’re from the south/Alabama they are pretty much interchangeable. Location is very important and they recruit heavily in mountain brook/mobile/Montgomery/atlanta/New Orleans/charlotte.
If you’re from far out of region, kappa will likely be more appealing Bc they have a large far OOS presence, Out of state southern girls will prob like KD better because KD is a southern house. KD has better grades than kappa but kappa has a much stronger national presence (especially texas).
Both are party sororities but kappa is probably more party-oriented and laid back. kd gets a horrible rep on this site but on campus most people are indifferent; it’s a strong house. Most girls in KD and kappa will stick with their high school friends in dke/SAE/ka/chi o and don’t care to branch out.

All accurate. I’m in one of these houses from oos and they basically are interchangeable. KD and Kappa cross rush with each other far more than any other house.

if you fit in one of these houses you would fit in the other. Slight differences but the two most similar sororities at bama
