2020/21 Ranks w/ explanation

Top: XO, AXO, AGD, DDD, KKG
Lower top: PM, KD
Upper mid: ZTA, ADPi, Pi Phi
Mid: DG, AOPi, A Phi
lower mid: Gphi, DZ
Bottom: KAT, SK
No order within tiers. The top 5 have had solid PCs for years now. KD and PM did better this past rush, but their past two were subpar. ZTA is almost to lower top, but they need to retain members better and not do COB. Pi phi and ADPi took good PCs this year. DG and AOPi had above average PC19s, but their last rush was simply average. A Phi gets a lot of girls that fit their brand, but they can’t seem to break from it without it being a disaster. Gphi and DZ did better during rush this year, but they still need some help retaining and recruiting solid new members. SK and KAT are rising fr. I think zoom rush helped them out. Yes there are a lot of tiers and some girls might drop a tier below to pick a house they enjoy more, but generally, girls kinda follow these tiers.

Why split up everything so much?
DZ, GPhi, and AOPi (and arguably DG and APhi) are all bottom tier. They’re still GREAT houses but they all have major improvements to make. And more importantly, some of these houses lack significant PNM interest.
Also, while getting a “good” PC is important, it doesn't automatically bump a house up in ranks and it surely doesn’t magically change their overall reputation on campus. That said, AGD and KD need to be brought down to middle tier.

Also I want to add:
Just as a good PC doesn’t bump a house up in ranks and change their reputation, a bad PC one year doesn’t bump a house down in ranks nor does it change their entire reputation. Specifically, Phi Mu is a solid top house. Even if they did have a “bad” PC one year it doesn’t negate the fact that they have a strong reputation and a ton of PNM interest (and this also applies to the other true top houses).

100% agree. APhi has slipped so far down. They were once a highly desired house by the pretty, big city OOS girls, on par with Zeta and Pi Phi. Now, girls who would’ve traditionally gone APhi are choosing GPhi/DZ/Theta/AOPi over them.
APhi is a solid bottom tier house in MY opinion.

Same old alums of deep south sororities knocking down APhi...year after year.
These alums know that APhi and Theta are a real threat and they can not lose their flagship chapters.
APhi is a middle house in recruitment stats and tied with Pi Phi.
