How To Be More Appealing To Phi Mu
by: ...What would Phi Mu’s ideal pnm be like? I’m from far oor with no connections at bama, but would really like to be a phi mu (there’s various reasons for this & ik to not get my heart set on one house). that said, does anyone have any advice?

i really like their philanthropy, their colors (dumb i know), and a good friend of mine is a phi mu at a different school & it would be cool to be in the same sorority... also love their insta theme lol

Okay I can totally see how 2/3 of those reasons seem valid for a 17-18 year old girl, but as someone who is a senior in Greek life.. trust me, a genuine connection with a house is WAY more important than 2 of the reasons you listed.
It's good that you feel a connection to their philanthropy, but if I were you I would ask myself what is it that I like about it? Because if it's helping kids, that's what the majority of not all the sororities' philanthropies are based on. If it's because CMN is an amazing organization, well all the sororities' philanthropies are amazing organizations too!
Bottom line: what you listed are not the most important things. If you fit in great with phi mu then great, but if you don't, you can still find an amazing philanthropy you listed PLUS a genuine connection in another house!

^^^ Sorry missed the instagram theme part, but again, that's an extremely insignificant factor not nearly as important as actually fitting in, and again, a majority of the houses have adorable instagrams too.

Phi Mu’s type is someone outgoing in all aspects. The cheerleader type in high school who was pretty, popular, and smart. Even though they’re an old row house they definitely take a lot of OOS girls but you have to have a lot under your belt for them to consider you. Also, of the old row houses, they’re definitely more conscious of looks. Phi Mu has a lot of PNM interest so they’re a house that chooses you instead of you choosing them, if that makes sense.

Yes. If you are from A small or mid sized town and dont t already know girls in the house - forget about it.
But if you are from a “great” zip code in a big city, you have a chance.
