My first 2 years I pretty much only went with friends. It’s not weird at all who wants to drag around a date they barely know and worry about whether they are having fun or not. It’s way more fun to go with friends if you don’t have a guy you actually enjoy hanging with. Way better than taking a rando date just to have a date
