Why would zeta keep her til pref and drop her? If you take a girl to pref there is a chance she will end up on your lawn even if you rank her low. My house makes sure to get rid of girls we know will not be a good fit before pref

Here’s info from my friend actually in Zeta who was on their recruitment committee that year, take it for what you will -
KB was 100% their type, the typical cute, blonde girl. But she did have issues with grades AND there were some actives that didn’t particularly like her (based on her YT vids and other hearsay). Going into rush, they knew it was unlikely they would bid her (due to her high school profile and social presence). However, they also knew she was friends with other PNMs they really wanted, most importantly she was roomies with one of their top PMMs (GL). So, yes, she was kept through until pref... why? Because she was roomies/friends with certain girls they really wanted and because certain actives just didn’t like her and wanted to basically get her hopes up (sh-tty but it happens). And I’ll also mention for people saying that there was still a chance she could’ve gotten a bid, actives knew she really wanted Zeta and wasn’t really “feeling” the houses she had left towards the end of rush. They knew she was willing to suicide for them and by putting her at the end of their list they were able to basically ensure she wouldn’t have gotten a bid (considering they’re a reasonably desired house).

Definitely happens especially in OR houses where a house wants a group of girls but won’t take one of them. They don’t the friends of the girl who gets dropped all dropping their house so they keep her around til pref so she doesn’t know

Here’s info from someone who was actually rushing her in ZTA : she was cut first round for grades under 3.2 and it was a big deal that caused people who talked to her all summer to apologize to her In text because they didn’t know her grades

Exactly!! I was thinking the same thing! Go to an art dedicated school or at least one with a good fashion program... getting a fashion degree at UA is a waste of money.
