Getting a Bid To Chi Omega

by: pnm

How hard would it be for an oor girl who didn’t know anyone in house to get a bid to chi o? I have good involvment, grades, personality, cute socials etc. I’m not set on Chi O at all, but it has stood out to me from everything i’ve read about it, it’s philanthropy etc. and just want to know my odds

No way to say for sure. Depends on who you talk to and if they like you. Letters of rec. I was OOR no connections similar to you w a letter of rec and they dropped me after philanthropy. There are are literally hundreds of cute girls with good grades and much more coming through. They are a house with a lot of legacies and pnm interest in general so I would not get your heart set on it’s

Not hard. Just have your recs, something that makes you stand out, and a good resume/ transcript. I’m a chi o from oor and I didn’t know anyone when I rushed.

That’s just you though. Plenty of girls who are good pnms on paper get cut by houses like xo if they don’t have connections. Assuming you had a good rush overall and were kept by many houses, you’re probably cute and a good conversationalist. Many freshmen aren’t as good at talking to people as they think they are. Or as cute as they think they are. Also one bad pairing for one round with a girl who doesn’t get a good vibe from you can get you cut even if everything else was perfect

It’s not really that big of a deal. I think we’ve established every house is on here. And, she was just giving advice not tearing a house down.

Honestly I think any advice is good but don’t count on anything. You really never know. I’ve seen girls really good on paper and seemingly great have a horrible rush

don’t set your heart and mind on any house, and wait to form your opinions until rush. all houses are looking for cute, well rounded girls who are easy to talk to.
