can you transfer???

just pledged a sorority at another sec school but I’m thinking about transferring here next year. can I join my chapter at this school???

You sure are. No, it's not automatic, the chapter has to vote on you and most are not accepted.

Yes, you def can. As long as you don't go through with initiation you could do the entire recruitment process here next year. If you do go through with initiation, your only option would be your sorority's chapter here, and that's subject to them offering you a bid.

Depends on the sorority and their bylaws regarding transferring. Some sororities bylaws say they are required to accept a transfer who is initiated and in good standing with her current chapter.

Others may require chapters to “vote” you in, but that’s mainly done as a way to prevent girls from going to a Small regional school with an easy rush and then trying to transfer into the SEC chapter.

If you still want to transfer after you are initiated, I’d reach out to your chapter president or standards chair for more information about your sorority’s transfer policy. They usually would have to fill out some paperwork to get your chapter transfer started.
