thoughts on custom badges
by: conflictednmHey y’all, wanted an outside opinion on something. I’m a nm legacy at a house that has a lot of badge customization options. I was originally planning on sticking to the basic badge they order for us but my grandma offered to get me a fancier version as a keepsake to celebrate me joining her org (different chapter though). Should I take her up on it or would it make me look like a cringy try hard to have it freshman year? Like, are custom badges even common here? Ty for the advice.

My mom gave me her badge. She was there at my initiation to pin me. I also bought my own that was different than hers. I wore both badges when we had formal meetings, but those only happened a few times a year. In my mom’s day, she wore hers all the time, even to class, provided she was dressed nicely. That’s just not done anymore. So, get what you or your family want, but don’t feel obligated to because it might spend a lot of time in a box.
