who’s tke and why r they getting a house on jefferson

Yeah, but where does TKE fit into this?
Because either Sig Tau will keep the house, or Delta Sig will get that house.
It is also unlikely the Delta Sig will move back into that house in the Fall, since they haven't been able to hold rush at all in the past three years, and all of their members have either graduated or dropped, so Delta Sig is basically gone at this point. I think it will be a few more years before we see Delta Sig back and they will probably have to start as an off campus fraternity to raise enough funds to make payments on the house.)
But either way, that house is spoken for. So where does this leave TKE? Because aren't all of the houses next to the bus hub filled also?

TKE does have a ton of chapters but most are small, and only a very small percentage can be considered "good" in any way. Unlike some other national fraternities, they will put down roots at any noname college.

Yeah, I have never heard of TKE at any schools in the South. I honestly don't think they are a strong fraternity nationally either.

They were here from 1975 to 2001. They were in the old Sigma Chi house next door to DKE (which was a falling-down dump).

Wasn't the old Sigma Chi house the house that Theta Tau is in now? I think Sigma Chi was in the very first house on Jefferson, (current Theta Tau house next to Sig Tau). Then Sigma Chi moved to University and their old house became a swing house. Sig Ep got kicked off campus in about 2008, and I think that was the same year Delta Sig came back. Sig Ep was allowed to come back and function as an off campus fraternity around 2011. In the fall 2015, Sig Ep came back on campus again and got the old Sigma Chi house (current Theta Tau house).

You're right, in a way.
The house TKE is in was the old "Swing/development" house for Jefferson and University. Sig Chi occupied it while raising funds/constructing their current house. So yes, it was the "Old Sig Chi House."
However, Sig Chi and a bunch of the houses used to be where the Walk of Champions is today. Phi Psi was the last one on the lawn. That is where TKE was (and DKE, and apparently Sig Chi (the Old Old Sig Chi House)).

They weren't kicked off for disciplinary reasons; they closed for low numbers/financial insolvency.

Sig Tau has a 3 year lease from Delta Sig that ends in the spring. So they’ll either keep the house or delta sig will get enough guys this year to make mortgage payments
