Natural Groupings

I see all these ranks and all the comments to the ranks and each time it is obvious that there are groupings. Choosing among chapters in each group ends up being influenced by personal taste and preferences, as well as previous relationships, home town influencers, and the like. Here are the groupings from the viewpoint of one junior in a middle house:
Group A: Old Row (everyone has their own opinion on how to slice these and, yes, KD is still there)
Group B: ZTA, PBP and ADPi (no order)
Group C: DG, APhi, DZ, GPhi, KAT, AOPi
Group D: SK
Group E: SDT
A note about SK, for many pnms they might be just as good as any in Group C, but it takes a special girl to want to take on the “newest house” thing and in return they get a unique opportunity to make something their own and influence the culture and be a leader. This same idea may apply to SDT, but right now I don’t see it.

Let’s be clear. Not all pnms coming through recruitment want Old Row houses and they cut Old Row houses. Deal with it. And there are houses on New Row that have been on campus longer and are actually more established than some so called Old Row houses. It is so incredibly sad that someone connected to an Old Row house feels the need to claim they are “better”. How insecure. I’m sure the New Row girls with their nice cars and clothes and multiple family homes are not feeling shaded by you on any level. And if they cut Old Row houses, more power to them, they don’t have your issues.

Did not read the grouping OP as saying new row houses are less desired. She put in groupings. Nothing more or less. Nobody can seriously say that the old row houses are not the “top” houses in terms of what pnms want to pursue and feel happy about seeing on their cards.

Might happen but rare. Old row are just so much more established and retain members much better.
