Upset/fake rules?
by: :(I don’t understand how some houses had girls to run home to on bid day while mine didn’t. Even more than that, I don’t get why they told us we weren’t allowed to have a retreat or a bid night party while seemingly ever other house has. Can anyone explain to me why other houses are allowed to and can get away with it but not mine? It’s making me rethink my decision :(

Some houses are in it for the long game and others not. Some houses value tradition and their nationals are watching closely. We want game days and an entire semester with our new members. Every single house has post rush let down. The sisters have to get ready for classes. We are meeting up with our bigs and catching up on missed time after being crazed during recruitment. Building friendships and connections takes time. Many houses are trying to protect recruitment and the greek community while they are under the microscope of the news and the university these first few days. The last thing we want is our letters being attached to the shut down of football or closing of school. Chill. Reach out to others in your new pledge class and concentrate on your classes these next few days. Once the microscope is off don't worry. You will be treated great and all of the fun things. It does suck when some houses are openly breaking the rules, but it happens all the time.
