Honest question about "lower" sororities
by: PlsbeniceOk I have an honest question about how y'all say "lower or bottom tier" sororities. I have SK and SDT left for pref. I've really enjoyed talking to them and think I'll fit in well at either one. I feel very grateful to have made it this far in the process and to have girls who want to be my sister! If I had never come on this website which I know my bad then I would have no idea of their reputations. But I can't lie and pretend like I haven't seen them listed last in every stupid ranking post. I don't care about this from a personal point of view but I do care about being ridiculed. I just don't want to be made fun of or looked down on for wearing my letters on campus. There seems to be a lot of support and acceptance recently on this site for these two but is that how it is on campus too? I just don't want to be made fun of. Can anyone speak to this? Thank you and pls be honest but also nice :)

You've enjoyed talking to these houses and think you'll fit in well there--that is AWESOME! That means that you're going to put in the effort and make friends for life. Btw I'm in one of the two houses you mentioned and I'm excited for you to be part of a sisterhood, whichever one you end up in!
Don't worry about this website. No normal person cares about rankings. I won't say no one cares, but basically no one that matters cares. The only people who might care are people who are snobby mean girls who are stuck in high school and are posting these rankings to feel better about themselves. I honestly feel bad for them.
You're going to be an ambassador for your house. People are going to see you around campus wearing your letters and think "wow she's a sig delt/kap!" Your friends, your hallmates, everyone who knows you are going to appreciate you for who you are.
Trust me, no one who matters is going to think any less of you. And the most important thing is that you don't internalize the hate on this website. It's coming from insecure people who have nothing better to do with their lives. Go live yours, that's the best thing that any of us can do.
(I only come here around recruitment season because I know some PNMs are unfortunately going to find this website--that's how I found this site at first--and the content on here is awful if unchecked.)
