If she said she was cut from everyone, she was cut from everyone. I don’t know why y’all keep acting like SK and SDT aren’t Panhellenic sororities. They’re going through the exact same recruitment as the top ranked houses. Y’all need to show them the same respect

Ok you’re right because it wouldn’t make ANY sense for them to have to extend MORE invites Bc they are smaller and their retention rates are lower.

How do you expect them to build up their chapter? Panhellenic was sick of SDT and said if you don’t participate in formal you’re gone. They obviously need to participate in formal recruitment because it’s truly the only way for them to gain members from an even playing field. It’s not that hard to understand lol

.....they’re still a Panhellenic sorority. They have standards just like the rest of them. Grade cuts, reputation cuts, involvement cuts, letters of recommendation cuts all still apply.

.....and they still need to build themselves up like you said! And they can’t do that without numbers. I literally said they cut for grades and other things. I never denied that. But we ALL know when a chapter needs to make the numbers, they might become a little less selective and give other girls another look instead of cutting everyone who doesn’t have a 4.0.

I’m so sorry this happened. Try not to take it personally, there are many reasons this could have happened. Sometimes girls slip through the cracks. Take today to be sad, but then, hold your head high, and make friends. Sign up for COB, and move forward. You can also rush again next year.

Sign up for COB!!! Rush is a crazy process even during a normal year so do not take it personally. The sororities have to make cuts and they are guessing at this point who wants them etc so there are many factors. Sign up for COB and just wait. Please keep us posted!!

I agree that you should sign up for COB.
Second, if you or your mom know any people who might have an in with a sorority, have your mom call them and tell them that you were released. Maybe they will offer to call the chapter and tell them that you'd be interested in a snap bid if the chapter ends up giving them out.
