GPA requirements

by: Gpa

Hi! I’m rushing and I have a good Gpa (3.96). What happens if your GPA isn’t good once you are initiated? Are you put on probation in the sorority house, banned from parties, etc? Is there a sorority gpa requirement?

You’re dropped immediately if you don’t get a 4.0. Better study harder

I got dropped for having a 3.9 because I came into college with a 4.5 HS GPA and that was a .6 drop

I’ve heard they don’t even warn you, just deactivate your act card key one day and tell everyone not to let you back into the house

my house blocks act cards from letting you in during meal times if your GPA falls more than .1 below house average from last semester

I heard they do nothing to you even if you have below a 2.0. They just want their dues.

They happily take your money while you’re banned from socials and formal.

Name one sorority here that allows under a 2.0 to be active in rush/swaps/formals. No way that’s happening here.

Do they really ban you from activities at the house like rush and not let you take part in date parties/formal with a below 2.0 gpa once you are initiated? I got an academic warning letter at the beginning of summer but all it says was I needed to meet with my college’s advisor. I can totally register for classes and everything. Don’t want my parents to find out but they will probs find out if I’m banned from sorority stuff.
