Suicide Bidding

How common is suicide bidding during recruitment? Is it a good idea to do that if you are only interested in one of your pref houses? What are some pros/cons?

i would suggest not doing it. even if you know you don’t want your second house, it doesn’t hurt to just give it a chance for a month or so to see if you really don’t want to be in the house and then you can drop. suicide bidding doesn’t affect whether your first pick will give you a bid, but it does ensure that you’re out of options if they don’t end up giving you one
