kappa kappa gamma

by: senior

Hi all,
I am going to be going through the rush process next year and wanted some opinions. I come from Northern Virginia and am worried about getting a bid. I'm a triple legacy with Kappa Kappa Gamma and would ideally like to join KKG. I come from money and my mother has been donating to KKG for forever. Even though I'm not a southern girl do I still have chances?

There's always a chance. Get your recs in early, if possible. Legacies are never a sure thing, there are just too many legacies coming through and too many women altogether.
You may even find a group you like better for you. Remember - it's YOU pledging, not your mom.

Please never say that to anyone. Keep it anonymous. There are 16 good houses at Alabama. You may not fit at KKG.

I am a Legacy too at an OR house and had decided before I got to rush that was where I was going to go.. after the first round I learned that there were other houses that I felt like were a better fit for me. It was an hard decision bc I didn’t want to disappoint my mom, but after pref I ranked them as #2 and got the other house that was my first choice. In the end, I decided it was more important to join a house where I felt like I belonged over where my MOM belonged over 20yrs ago.
