golden goose sneakers and koch shorts
by: oopswas anyone else taken aback by the amount of girls wearing that exact outfit. like i understand if you just really think the shoes are adorable (because they are) and think the shorts are cute. but i felt as though every girl wearing that outfit only did so because they wanted to flaunt their wealth. i bet all the girls wearing it were fine but it was a major turnoff, considering it looked liked their greatest asset was their wallet

I get that it might just be what’s in “style” but Jack Rogers can be purchased for under 100$ and chevron doesn’t cater to a specific brand, meaning that you could buy them at any price. An outfit consisting of those two items is almost 1000$, it doesn’t really come off as style but as a form of elitism.

That’s fair enough. I just feel like if we’re going to tell PNMs to wear what they feel comfortable in, then that goes for expensive items too. Some girls just do wear these things.

Koch and GG are all over insta. Those brands are popular in SoCal, Dallas, and Charleston. There are popups of Koch in other various vacation spots (Hamptons, Miami, etc.). Yes, Dukes in Alabama carries those brands and even Panhellenic exec was wearing Koch for their GreekChic pics. Do I have these brands? Yes. I buy that stuff on sale. I refuse to spend $300 on those Erica’s. I get them for under $100 ( still absurd but they’re cute and can wear them with a lot of tops). I have one pair of GG’s that I got new on eBay for $150. Again, absurd, but they are comfortable. I would wear something more traditional for philanthropy, but not every girl is spending $1000 for that look.

New with tags on or stickers on and in the box. My GG’s were a style you could only buy at Le Bon Marche in France and it didn’t fit the seller. I just got lucky on the bid. You just gotta know where to shop and not care if it’s last year’s colors. ✌🏻.

Look on kochs website for the stores that carry their stuff. Then, go to each stores website. Most of them only operate an insta, like Dukes. Stanley Korshak is where I picked up my $97 crimson ones ( look very similar to the current red ones), cabana is where I got silver grey ones ( ok. Those were $157), and coplons is where I got jersey grey ones ( those were $115). Gotta work for them!

I mean, it’s what’s in style now. I don’t see how that’s desperate. It wasn’t desperate in like 2015 when everyone was wearing chevron and jack rogers lol
