PNMs forget rankings. Give every house a chance and pick the houses you feel most comfortable in. Every house has programming and events in place to provide you with a terrific experience, even newer houses. The only ones ranking on here are insecure people who are desperately trying to find some way to feel superior to others. If you feel you need to be in a “better” sorority to feel better about yourself, then you will not find enough of that kind of support in a sorority.

Instead, you need to see sororities for what they really are: each is a group of women working to find connections and friendships through social programming and group responsibilities designed to appeal to and support a variety of college women. Each chapter will give you opportunities to meet and form friendships within a very diverse group of about 400 women by providing all kinds of shared college experiences via sorority events and meals. Each provides a beautiful place to gather and live. If you participate in good faith, you will meet plenty of women and you will most likely bond with a few great friends. Most women usually have plenty of events to attend and most find very close friends, regardless of the house they join.

Any PNM going through recruitment that has fallen for GR rankings and believes any group of 400 women might be beneath her, status-wise, is seriously fooling herself.

Only mamas and gradmas posting ranks these days. Wishing things were the same old fashioned way. All the houses are great here. Tiers do not matter. This is the truth for every house.

YES! All of our houses are top in the country. Get ready girls, recruitment is going to be a blast. Relax and be yourself. You will be in awe of our southern hospitality and get ready to be so confused. Nothing that you read on here all summer will make any sense once rush starts. Then you will realize that these posts are written by old ladies who haven't been part of the row in decades. They had sleeping porches, calling cards, and rotary phones attached to the wall. You will be welcomed into our lavish houses and meet some of the most accomplished beautiful friendly sisters in every single house. Houses where you can be yourself and be loved and accepted. Trust the process. Focus on what YOU see and hear and experience and trust what you feel not some bs that you have read on some website. Once you are here you will see that on campus we respect and value all our houses and the things that bring us together are much stronger than any letters that separate us. We can't wait to meet you!

Use your head, sure back in memaw's day 1)when pledge classes were 30-40 and sororitys were under 200, and 2)only Alabama girls attended and went home to Alabama towns, where everyone knew everyone, what house you joined did matter. But today, read on and see if this does not sound familiar with the way you think about "getting in".

Today, Bama's houses are twice as big and everyone takes OOS. We now have top academic students from everywhere coming here via great scholarships, so just like the rest of the colleges and universities, GRADES are more important to sororitys, thank who your grandma was. Grades are also very easy to rank each other by, so we all take a very hard look at your GPA. Grades are the first and easiest cut we make.

Also, our highly academic scholarship students have a monster resume that could have gotten them into many other competitive colleges, so your killer resume will go a lot further today in getting you into a sorority than what Alabama town you come from. Does that make sense.

Finally, there are more OOS student then in-state students at Bama now. That means there are more OOS going through recruitment and more OOS already in houses. Since so many of us OOS are already spread throughout the houses, we really do not value your Alabama roots, cause we don't have any either. Make sense PNMs? Forget ranks. All this Alabama importance has been blown apart over the last few years. We all love Bama, but we will move away and really just want to have a good time while we are hear and are not worried about what Alumna group in Mountain Brook to will join.

So just enjoy every house during recruitment, be your best self in every one, and love the one you get. Every single house has tons of social events. Every one! Every house has a very diverse group there so ignore some pigion-hole rep, it can not be maintained/true within the group of 400 women in the house. You will find friends in any house you join and you will have a killer time.

Because we all know every word of this post is true.

Our houses are awesome. Our experiences are awesome. We all have friends in lots of supposedly different types of houses that are all over the ranks, and they are having an awesome time too.

No PMM needs to worry anout rank to have a great Greek experience. The girls who do worry about rank are the ones who struggle the most to enjoy their house.
