Looks like their new member class had a 3.31 and their actives had a 3.49.
To be honest the fact that they are the last sorority get a house has made a huge impact on them. They do not have the ability to be that selective with their pnms during rush. They also rushed without a house this year. They unfortunately receive a lot of negative tent talk during rush which is unfortunate.

What? Make some sense and get back to us. A house remodel does NOT make for a lowered GPA! EVERY sorority house has been remodeled/rebuilt/and or moved during the past twelve years; in a few houses there was both an early remodel then ten years later a complete rebuild.

And trust me, Theta is still completely selective with their pnm bids per Theta's individual house standards and values. Any tent talk for or against any of our fine homes should be ignored and discarded.

Last chapter to build a new house = less interest from PNMs = lowered ability to be selective during rush. It absolutely correlates. When gamma phi built, for example, the only other new row chapters with new houses were DG and ADPi (and technically alpha phi, only shortly before, but Gphi was already building). It gave them a huge boost and it’s the exact opposite for theta.

It’s unfortunate that theta had to go last instead of maybe an old row house, but that’s just the way it worked out with their very recent remodel. And let’s be honest none of the old row houses would have never let that happen.

Yeah I’m in a house near the bottom and we’d love to get our GPA up but it’s hard because PNMs with great GPAs usually drop us or choose elsewhere if they make it to our pref.

I’m sure alpha phi experiences this issue too, but to be fair I rushed with a 4.0 and they dropped me after IWT so they could probably be trying a little harder

Going from a new member gpa last year of a 2.82 to a 3.11 is a huge jump so let’s say congrats to alpha phi for their success in taking a much smarter pledge class than before.

They did a much better job this year of dropping high risk gpa girls and picking the higher gpa girls instead. Like the last comment said, their pc 17 had a 2.8 gpa and their new pc 18 had a 3.1, AND they took a huge group of girls + COBs. Congrats to them and I hope they can continue moving up and turning around their grades like zeta did a few years ago.

Seriously only an old timer would say this. Anyone above a 3.5 deserves props. Congrats DG and ADPI... and now brace yourself for someone to rip these 2 sororities. Sadly the only freaks on here are old ladies that miss the past and hate change. It’s exhausting reading all the mean things on here

Agree how can anyone not applaud houses where the average is above a 3.5. Forget being mad that these aggravating new row girls did well...celebrate that Alabama is really becoming an amazing university. The more ladies that represent Alabama by actually being way above the median are women we need. Seriously we get so much flak for letting in everyone
