national rankings

by: truth

According to newsweek (www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/23/best-sorority-c ollege-rankings_n_1824548.html) the best sororities nationally are in this order:

PM
GPB
AXO
DZ
KAO
AP
AOII
DDD
KD
PBP
XO
ADPi
KKG
DG
ZTA

Ok, I wasn't surprised about PM or AXO being in the top 3 nationally, but I was surprised about GPB being there. Some of our old row didn't make the top 15. The rest of the sororities are ranked somewhere else and I didn't go look for them. I was surprised that PBP, XO, and KKG were as low as they were.

Anyway, I though people might be interested in this national ranking.

Bottom line - doesn't matter which sorority you choose or that chooses you. Every one of them has beautiful women, smart women, sensitive women, capable women, women who are leaders. And every one has some less that wonderful women, but don't we all have some not so great family members?
You'll be lucky to join any of Alabama's sororities.

Darlin, you have it backwards. They're actually counting down. It's ok, I did the same thing too at first. Compare your order to that of the original article that Huff Post was reporting about. The link is below. Start at #15 then make your way down.

I wasn't surprised that PM was first, but GPB and KAT in the top 5 did astound me!

did you not read the comments? The whole thing was posted backward, and it's a national ranking. In fact, both Gamma Phi and Theta should have been higher than they were.

Nice. That's shows what Alabamians' ranking system. The two lowest houses here are nationally in the top 5. Good job, Alabama

First off, the list is upside down. Second, it's not very good. Lastly, why does it matter? The rankings will be different at every school, and they don't have to conform to someone's attempt to make a "national rank." If that's what you think, then every school should just match Daily Beast's or random Greekranker's list.

I bet this list has Old Row upset. Yay for Gamma Phi, Theta, and A Phi! Excellent job girls!!!

This thread is really making me question Bama's academic standards. Some dummy posted the list upside down, and even after it's been pointed out in every other comment in the thread, people still haven't figured out its upside down. It's a bad list forward, and a worse list backward.

Phi Mu is listed first. You gotta assume it's number 1 not that it's number 100 because of course the list is written backwards. That is ridiculous and sounds like a lower tier house making up an excuse for themselves.

It's a national list writen by Daily Beast/Newsweek. The OP posted it upside down, it's not a matter of lower tier whining, it's a published list of the top 25 NPC sororities that someone took the top 15 of and posted upside down. The actual order is
1.Zeta
2.DG
.
.
.
15.Phi Mu
I'm not saying it was a good list, in fact it's pretty bad, but it's even worse backwards.
