So I went through the entire top 10 thread and this is the most accurate ranking that I have found. If you don't agree with it, I am sorry, it's just the cold hard truth about modern-day greek life at Bama. I'm not saying the sororities at the bottom of the list are bad sororities at all, it is just that some sororities are stronger than others!

I've seen a lot of bad about DG on here but in a way I hope I get picked by them for a couple of reasons:
1. Because they are new I feel I will be able to help shape their image
2. Everyone won't have gone to hs together ( definitely dont want that)
3. Very very strong nationally for when I leave Alabama
4. Got a very strong start that no one expected
5. Amazing house
6. More of a mix of girls .... I like that
But that's just me. Can't go wrong with any of the new row houses. Old row is NOT for me

Otherwise how would she know about the mix of girls, their high schools, their strength nationally (which, by the way, is not true -- it's very middle to lower tier nationally), and the expected start of DG.

I am an OOS (other) PNM. Graduated this year. Went to Preview weekend and was invites back to a lot of Spring Teas (both old and new) I have done tonsssss of research on all of the sororities i including the bid lists for last year. Phi Mu remains on top because they recruited a large (comparing) amount of "northern" girls. Why is it every time someone puts something positive about one of the newer houses... "Someone" assumes it must be from within a house. Maybe we just have minds of our own?

I'm a PNM and zeta is actually my number 5 pick. I would want kappa, phi mu, Tri Delt, and AXO before them but I would pick zeta over XO, Alpha gam, and KD. Also I would pick zeta over all of new row (except MAYBE Pi Phi)

Zeta has a middle to lower tier rep everywhere except for the SEC. And maybe Texas, but they've slipped into the lower middle there too. People who were there a long time ago still talk about Zeta in the Big 6, but people who go there laugh at that because of Zeta's bad reputation.

i feel zeta's reputation has actually IMPROVED over the years with a gpa that is rising and more and more gorgeous girls... but thanks for speaking about a subject you know nothing about. lets be honest, you probably don't even go here.

Don't think so, at least from what I've seen. Lots of moms and alums running this site so it's not that accurate. ADPi is still easily a top 10 house.

ADPi has definitely had its ups and downs. Near the bottom in the '80s, then moved up the ranks in the '90s and '00s. Up until a couple of years ago they were near the top of New Row, but since then they've been sliding back down again.

If you are ever going to get out of Alabama, ADPi is terrible. I don't think there is a single other school where it's even decent. If you want to be in an alumna group, you have to think about that.

ADPi is strong at Auburn, UGA, South Carolina, FSU, UF, and Tennessee. Also good at UNC and NCSU.

But with as many moms and alums as there are on this site, it's going to be hard for that message to be heard. Everyone wants them to be the bottom because that means that their house ISN'T the bottom. I really think Gamma Phi is a decent house now and would like to see them get some credit. (btw, I'm not a Gamma Phi and my house doesn't compete with them - maybe that's why I'm willing to give them credit! :)

You clearly don't go here or you are a DG. It's alright in accuracy until you hit number 10... DG a top 10? NO. And DG above ADpi and AOII... And Adpi above AOII?! Also theta above APhi is very inaccurate. I'm redoing the rank starting at 10.. It actually goes like this:
10) AOII
11) Adpi
12) Dz/Aphi (these two houses are tricky to rank because DZ has better grades and involvement but Aphis are more popular around campus so it just depends on what your looking for
13) DZ/APhi
14) DG (#14 because they are new and don't have the "low house" rep that theta and Gphi have squired over the years)
15) Gphi/theta
16) Gphi/theta (these two houses have really become equal with their last couple pledge classes. Theta has fallen while Gphi has improved)

Finally a ranking that puts us back where we belong. We're on top and have been forever. Those that put XO, AXO, KD, etc. above us are ridiculous!
