dropped

by: idk

I rushed last year, and decided to take a chance and rush again this year only to get dropped because of SK. Does anyone know what houses are doing COB because I'm not interested in joining a sorority that ruined my experience. also before all the trolls come out let me just say that I have a 4.0 and am involved on campus, and have friends in each house who were pulling for me.

SK didn't ruin anything for you.

You should just adjust to your non-Greek life. Hopefully last year you joined some great organizations and I'm sure you made friends.

The fact is that you are very unlikely to get a COB from a house that dropped you, especially if they've dropped you twice now, and SK didn't affect your recruitment in the least.

You probably won't have too good of a chance with the houses that participate in rush if you have gone through twice and if you don't want to do SK, you can try SDT? Hear me out. You can go to their events and scope them out to see how you feel. you have nothing to lose, not to mention they have been growing super fast and will even be moving back to row! Good luck!

I see how this is going to go. Girls who dropped or were dropped hating on sk because they ruined your recruitment. You are responsible for your own recruitment good or bad it is on you sweetheart.

I am going to try to be as kind as I can here. The girls pulling for you in their houses either weren't being honest with you about pulling for you or they don't have enough power within their own houses. Chances of COB from those houses are not great. Is there a chance in other ones? Maybe, but not every house participates and COB is after SK is done this year. Honestly, I'd consider SK seriously or the other two that don't do formal rush. With a 4.0, you may have a real chance with SK. Good luck!

SK didn’t ruin your recruitment. They don’t even exist yet and I can tell you’re going to be the type of girl who holds it against their chapter for the next three years even though they have no say over which PNMs got dropped. There are sophomores who got bids this year from a number of houses.

You say you rushed last year. What happened that time? Did you drop out when you didn’t like the options you had left? If that’s the case it seems like you’re doomed to repeat yourself by prejudging SK. I hope you gain some perspective and see why these two occasions are alike and give SK a try once you improve your attitude.

So are you a MB girl that just has to be in a certain house and decided to be closed minded to all other houses two years in a row?

Based on your SK comments it sounds like you need the approval of certain Greek letters to justify your self-worth.

Not trying to be rude, but you should know that many sophomores with gpas lower than yours, less “involvement” than you claim to have, and less connections went through rush and ended up with a bid to a great sorority.

Yeah sorry but if you have friends, good grades, and good involvement there’s obviously a reason you got dropped from every house... taking away an upperclassman quota would not stop a house from giving a bid to a solid upperclassman PNM so obviously you had some kind of red flag

If you want it that badly, try SK. The worst you can do is drop

There's no guarantee that SK won't drop her, too. They don't HAVE to take everybody that signs up.
