quota additions/guaranteed bids

If I am not in the quota for either of my houses for pref, do I go to the house that ranked me higher or the house I ranked higher? How do quota additions work?

I believe you go to the house that has fewer members overall, but I’m not positive

The algorithm considers your number one choice, your placement on the chapters' bid lists, total chapter membership, and other factors. It just depends. If you rank both houses you'll get a bid and you won't know how. Just be glad.
