I guess I was not paying close enough attention when this was explained.
I had six houses left for Sisterhood round.
I am to pick two tonight and rank the next four.
Is is possible I get my bottom ranked two for Preference round if the first four do not select me or do those houses know I picked them on the bottom?

They do not know.
The driver is house selection. Not pnm selection.
If your top town picks want you, you will get them.
If not, you will go too pref with the first houses that want you - going down your ranks
If you don’t get two houses at pref, it’s because two houses didn’t select you.
It has nothing to do with your rating if you get less than two houses at pref.

I’ll add this.
A pnm rank does matters when they have houses that want them. And you will get your top picks if the house picks you. If houses that want you are low on your list, you will not be invited to them if you already got selected by your top picks.
However, if you get passed over by your top picks, the attempt is made to fill your card looking for every house that selected you.
It sounds tough, but not having a full card means you were passed over by all but the houses you are invited to.

I will add that PNM’s do have some say in their houses, but that is only if they are outstanding and desired by every house. Rarely that is the case. For most PNM’s, they will see houses they ranked lower than “1” each and every round.
