I think they’ll take a hit this year. Idk if it’s self ranking on here or just that lots of people have a different opinion, but I think DG has been slipping the last 2-3 years and this is the PC that’ll really show it. DG used to be the best of the bottom but GPhi has SERIOUSLY stepped up their game in the last year or two, AOPi and DZ have new houses, Theta is well liked on campus even though they struggle during rush, and despite all of APhi’s issues they still have an appeal to a certain group of girls. Without the ‘best of the rest’ rep I don’t know what they have to draw girls in. I don’t think it’s a house PNMs dislike, but I don’t see too many girls actively wanting to be there unless they really don’t click with the second house they pref

I easily think that Aopi and DG are stronger than G Phi. They had one “good” PC that is filled with reputation risks and grad risks because they sacrificed their old values for looks. Both Aopi and DG have a strong sisterhood, good grades, involvement and cute girls! I guess this year will show what direction every house on campus is headed in.

Idk I think DG and AOPi both have a lot of strengths (good involvement, great grades, generally nice girls), but I feel like instead of being their own house they want to be ADPi or (for AOPi in particular) AXO/ AGD. I’ve seen people argue on here that not having a distinct reputation is good because lots of girls can feel at home (which has some merit), but especially with DG I have no idea what type of girl is a DG girl (and I have a number of close DG friends). At the end of the day I think cohesiveness is a big part of what makes a house higher ranked. ZTA and APhi have low grades, lots of internal drama, and low involvement, but you KNOW what kind of girl is a Zeta or APhi girl and I think that has helped them in recruitment and in the rankings. Every house obviously has a huge mix of personalities, but I think houses benefit from having a general “type”.

Based on chatter I think KD is going to have a killer PC this year. I see a decent year for DDD and KKG as well.
Not sure about Phi Mu and AXO, but imo a weak PC for them is still a good PC.
I feel like (in the respective groups that they usually pull from) no one is talking about chi o, dg, dz, or aphi- I think it’ll be a down year for all of them
As always I feel like I never hear girls talk about AGD or ADPi, but their PCs are always decent in the nice girls but not too exciting way that they are
For NR I think Pi Phi and GPhi will get the best PCs in terms of getting the kind of girls they target and AOPi and Theta will have better PC’s than last year

Please just stop. Hearsay from even 30 girls isn’t even a fraction of the total rushing, so it literally means nothing.
Even at Bid Day you won’t know who got good pledges. Girls drop, transfer, don’t make their grades, make bad decisions and get reputations for it all the time. It’ll be next year before you really know how good a pledge class is

This could be so off, I just think it’s fun. These are not in order, just OR/NR.
Tri Delt- I don’t think they’re going to have a repeat of last year’s PC, but they’ll do relatively well. Lots of OOS interest
KD- They’ll do a lot better than last year, though it remains unseen if that’s including quality OOS or not
Phi Mu- Probably also won’t do as well as last year, particularly without all the Vestavia drama. Will probably still get an average pc for them with lots of their type.
Alpha Chi- Also not dealing with last year’s Vestavia drama, will do better and be more up to their average, but I don’t predict an outstanding pc either. Girls seem less underwhelmed than last year and I think they’ll get more of their targets.
Alpha Gam- Not hearing much talk, I’ll just guess they’ll improve some from last year?
Kappa- They seem to be harsher with cuts this year, probably to make up for some unfortunate legacies last year. PNMs are kind of divided, so we’ll see if their targets end up in that good half. Probably won’t be up to PC 16, but a step up from 17.
Chi O- Doing better with their usual targets for sure, but most likely won’t branch out much. If they do, it’ll likely be a handful of standouts to buffer them up?
Zeta- They’re dropping QRs to improve their rep, but that may be at a sacrifice to the looks factor of last year’s PC. I predict a decline in that, but a bump in respect.
Pi Phi- Decently popular with OOS, the new house is really helping. Their new pc will be better than the last few for sure, it’s a question of how much better?
ADPi-Same as usual
DG- Same as usual
AOPi- The new house will give them a bump, but not as much as they expected. Girls seem to think they’re sweet, but not the best rushers.
GPhi-Repeat of last year’s cuter but QR PC
Theta-Huge pc again, rushing out of the stadium helps but being the only chartered chapter without a house sure as heck isn’t helping. Maybe a slight bump up?
DZ- They’ll do much better than last year, new house is helping as is social media, rush themes. Realistically they’ll still be considered lower.

Other than the AXO/alum drama with that one girl, what Vestavia Drama are you talking about? I know that PM "stole" some other legacies but is this the same thing you're talking about?

On NR, I’d say PiPhi, GPhi and AOPi are doing well and will have especially good years. Most chatter this year for OR is
KD and DDD.

What KD chatter are you talking about? I’ from Mtn Brook and our girls aren’t even interested in pledging there. Are these posts from KD moms?

These are such lies. KD is having an even more down year than usual. My roommate is one and of course we talk. They are scared they’re going to fall even further than they already have.

What I heard about Vestavia is there was one general group of “popular” girls and that one being dropped by Alpha Chi divided the house and the clique somewhat. Idk how much of an effect it had, but at least a handful of Vestavia girls that would’ve gone Alpha Chi went Phi Mu. Idk how accurate is, it’s all gossip. I am confused as to why that one girl didn’t go Phi Mu and why she went Kappa? Those houses are kind of interchangeable tier-wise, but they’re super different vibes and Vestavia is much more of an Alpha Chi/Phi Mu stronghold. If she was Mobile/MB/Montgomery it would’ve made more sense.

As long as you are always gonna live in Birmingham area for the rest of your life Alpha Chi and Phi Mu are fine. Otherwise, who cares.

A lot of girls in my group care. There was a lot of love for both, but seemed to split later in the week as to which they preferred. The ones who have either house left are very happy with it.
None are from Alabama.

Sure pnms like them. These are the two most successful Alpha Chi and Phi Mu chapters in the country. Go almost any where else and...well...much different story.

So why would anyone care what they are like at any other school? We go to the University of Alabama. Not Ohio State, or wherever.
My mom is also from my sorority, which is huge in my home state, but not necessarily high outside of the state. We've lived all over the country, and surprisingly, no one cares.
People should go where they are happy. Not where they think some imaginary people will be impressed.

Most of the PNMs in Tut have been cut from most of those houses (they have to cut very heavily), so you won't hear buzz about houses that most weren't invited back to.

Almost every response to this post will be trolls, Alums, and girls trying to tear houses down or prop their own house up.
It happens every year. Very few actual PNMs are running to this site to post. They are all at school having a good time. This site isn't that important to them.
