I get it, because "tiers." But Theta is an amazing chapter here with great sisterhood. True to themselves and authentic. And they're super historic and strong Nationally. Top "tier" at many other schools, including other SEC schools (UK, Vandy, UGA, Mizzou). They really are under-rated. (GPhi is also a great all-around chapter, but they don't get the hate Theta gets).

I know y'all don't care what an alum has to say, but I am really intrigued by how far Gamma Phi has come. I was at Bama in the late 90s when Gamma Phi was the newest house. They naturally got the girls that all other houses had cut. AOPi was a solid middle tier house and now it seems as though they have switched places.
I am not trying to be mean at all, but just curious if anyone knows how Gamma Phi was able to climb up the ranks. Was it that they got a new house several years ago and AOPi has been in an older one?
It would be good for Sigma Kappa to take note of what Gamma Phi has done and try to replicate it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they started taking girls who were considered grade risks and focused on recruiting out of state girls who didn't have any connections

GPhi has a strong out of state presence but that isn’t surprising considering the demographics of Bama as a whole. That said, they must be doing something right because they had the highest retention of new row (and #4 overall) They are getting good girls and keeping them happy. I am sending good vibes to all the houses! Actives work so hard to make this a good experience for PNMs....all houses should be proud!

agree with this post above... I think they stayed at the bottom for so long because all the cute girls they would get would drop. Now they are able to keep the cute girls happy along with the rest of the house. I'm assuming there was good leadership and other internal changes to the house
