not feeling my legacy house
by: confusedAfter the first two rounds I'm not really feeling my legacy house, and I'm a little worried that other chapters will drop me because they assume I want to go to my legacy chapter. Is there a good way to let the other chapters I have back for sisterhood know that I'm more interested in them? If I end up in my legacy chapter I'm okay with that, but there are others I had I'd like more.

If you love your legacy house it's a wonderful bond to have, but if you go to other houses and they know you're a legacy somewhere else I'd say things like "My sister encouraged me to have an open mind in recruitment and I've taken that to heart," "My sister loved her house when she was at Alabama and I see a similar bond in this house that she had in hers," "this week has opened my eyes up to the number of great chapters Alabama has to offer." Obviously don't talk down about your legacy chapter, but make it clear that you have an open mind and make points about what you love about the chapters you're attending.

I'm worried it is odd to say "I'm more excited to be back here than at XYZ/my legacy chapter/all the other places I was invited back"
Maybe that is the way to say it, but I was hoping someone had this situation themselves or has had a PNM tell them that could help me not feel weird about it.
