my ego is now in check

Today was rough. I got dropped by a LOT of houses. A lot of houses I thought I would be wanted by. I am posting to share with others that may be in a similar situation.

Thanks to a heartfelt chat with my Rho Chi, I have reprioritized and let go of ranks and wanting Old Row. Now I am focused on finding the right fit for me, no matter tier a bunch of anonymous people on this site have placed it in.

Anyone else in my same boat?

Now that's the attitude! You'll do fine and on Sunday you'll run to your new house! Good attitude! You're not the first and you're not the last to be passed over. Just feel good about who wants you and sees you in their house!

Remember not to be offended by houses who dropped you, there’s so many factors like gpa involvement, REcs, ect that you and many times even the active you talked to (who may have loved you) have NO control over. Girls do not get the final say in many cases when it comes to grade cuts / recs / other resume things. You’ll find your home, names don’t matter as much as it may seem during recruitment I promise!

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. But you have an amazing attitude!! Keep it up and you will be happy in the end, even if it isn't where you thought it would be. I think you'll find that every house is incredible in its own way and that you don't have to be in the top old row house to have a great sorority experience and find your best friends.
