No not at all

I liked them a lot as well! I am trying to go into every house with an open mind but it’s hard knowing what houses are top and which ones aren’t when trying to act like I don’t know

Theta is not as strong as many, but it’s like the SEC in football. Even our lower teams can beat most others. Theta is excellent. Just not as excellent as some others.

I’m a Theta and being in a bottom tier house has sucked sometimes but mainly it’s just because it’s frustrating that people don’t see how great my sisterhood is. I’m glad I ended up where I did. Just keep that open mind!

Saying theta isn’t excellent is almost inaccurate. They just don’t meet the dumb criteria a lot of houses have. They’re more involved than most houses and choose their own sisters over the machine. The other houses (mine included) will sell out their own sisters to go along with the machine. So what their members aren’t as hot? All of my Theta friends have cute boyfriends so it doesn’t really stop them too much .

I think it's also worth mentioning that Theta has a great national reputation. Sorority membership does extend past 4 years, and Theta is one of the most established chapters. After you graduate you will have lots of chances to connect with other Thetas and such because it is so big. This is actually true of all the chapters at Alabama. Each one has a strong national reputation. I don't think a sorority like Alpha Sigma Alpha would do well here (no hate to them, they're just small and less well known). Will be interesting to see how SK does since they aren't at the same level nationally as the others. Anyway I got sidetracked, Theta = great nationals!!

It was 4th. Not middle but nice try.

The stadium looked great and the color scheme was really pretty. They moved us around well and I was impressed. The bad: Conversation was awkward with the active asking me multiple times where I was from and not much else. Longest conversation of the day because she didn't seem comfortable. It made me uncomfortable but it did give me a chance to glance around. They didn't match me with anyone from my area or with any of my interests. Other houses had me paired with girls that I clicked with and had easy conversations but it seemed like they didn't try to pair me up. Looking forward to another meeting with a different group of girls to get a better feel.

I am sort of confused as well about Theta. I thought they seemed really nice today and I enjoyed talking to the girls I met. I am also sort of interested in the next round with them. Can't really see much difference between them and several other houses, so it is not clear to me why they are a bottom house.
