Well tomorrow starts the beginning of a very hectic week for a lot of you guys. It's going to be stressful but it will be so worth it and it will lead to some of the best memories in your life. Just remember some of the tips that you have seen on here:
1. Bring a fan because it will be hot. Some sunscreen can't hurt either.
2. Drink plenty of water. Dear God please stay hydrated.
3. Bring a small notepad to write notes down about each house because you can get overwhelmed with information. You will see a lot of houses in one day.
4. DO NOT listen to tent talk. If the girl next to you says she thinks the girls in Tri Delt are stuck up, the girls in DG are boring, and KKG girls were too wild for their tastes do not listen. Form your own opinion.
5. Remember that getting dropped by a house is not the end of the world. Every house needs to make cuts and yeah in the moment it stings but these drops will ultimately lead to your end house
6. Focus on the houses that you feel most at home in, not the one that catches your eye with a bunch of flashiness the moment you walk in the front doors
7. There are no bottom houses. Every house will offer the same experience. Don't think think that you need to be in a top house to have fun.
8. I feel like we tend to overlook the simple things. Get plenty of sleep.

I would also add in: Rush for you. In a lot of cases you have girls who may be legacies or have a bunch of friends from high school in one house or the next. I wouldn't say get rid of those houses as a possibility, but at least see what the others have to offer. As nice as the thought of having your friends be your sisters is or having that connection to your mom/sister/grandmother, what's right for them may not always be right for you. In the end if you decide that, their house is what you want, then great. But don't let this shape your mind and actions right out the gate. Go in with the mindset of what is going to make me happy in the long run.
