girls rushing twice?
by: SophomoreOn theta’s national website, one of the requirements for recruitment is that someone has “not been a new member of an NPC group on your campus since the last primary recruitment”. Does that mean if a freshman who dropped a house before initiation last year is re rushing this year as a sophomore, they can’t join theta? Does that apply to any other sorority?

You are good to go if you accepted a fall bid and dropped before initiation. Now if you took a bid this past spring and dropped, you are not. Theta is just echoing the rule for all NPC sororities that if you accepted a bid from another sorority and dropped before initiation, you have to wait a year from when you accepted that bid before you can rush or accept another bid. Signing your MRABA card after pref is the same as accepting a bid, even if you drop on the spot. Got it?

@Same Rule is correct. You have to wait a whole calendar year from joining your previous sorority to rush again. And if you have ever been initiated into any sorority, you can't ever join another one (unless its not NPC; like you could still join Alpha Delta Chi or another non-NPC sorority). So if you rushed in August of 2017 and dropped before initiation and now you are rushing again, you should be fine. But you can't rush in the fall and then again the next spring.

I just checked on the theta website to see what this person is talking about & it has two different requirements saying that a person cannot be initiated to another sorority nor can they have been a member of another sorority since the last recruitment.
