Or is that desperate??? I have a friend, or more of an acquaintance I guess because we’ve never really hung out, who’s in a house I really want to be in. She knows I’m rushing because I told her. Should I tell her I’m really interested in her house and I love everything about it like the philanthropy and everything so I seem interested?? Will she put in a good word for me if I tell her before rush that I really want to join? I just don’t want to come off as desperate or weird

Absolutely! It will not hurt you to let her know you are interested in her house. No one is a mind reader so it's better to let the house know you like them. But don't sound desperate.

If she’s just an acquaintance, at this point, I don’t see a way for you to reasonably approach her.

If you see her at the house during recruitment, and are having a conversation with her, then some I really love this house comment is probably reasonable

What @Members said is not true. I was a top girl for my house and had several girls pulling for me and I never saw my friends in the house during recruitment until I was preffed by one of them. They are trying to prove to the chapter that you are as great as they say you are so they have other girls rush you so they can get to know you. They might wave/smile at you if you happen to see each other, but 99% you will be rushed by a girl you don't know

I’m shocked at how many people are encouraging this..... rush starts in three days it is WAY too late to start a conversation with an active about her house. They aren’t even allowed to talk to you all that’s going to do is make her feel awkward. There’s not much she can say back without breaking no contact rules Wait until open house and hopefully she’ll be rushing you and you an tell her then.
