Pomping is SUCH a waste of time, resources, and money. It's honestly ridiculous. Literally NO ONE enjoys pomping. When I was a freshman my house's pomp chair literally had a mental breakdown during HoCo week. I'm not really sure how this tradition started, I sort of understand having a HoCo float for the parade and pomping for that however the lawn pomps are kind of childish looking and are ONLY UP FOR LIKE 2 DAYS. A weeks worth of giving yourself arthritis and the end product is only up for the weekend...
The paper itself usually costs around $3000 (from what I heard) and could literally be used for an extra date party or sisterhood event or something.

Dumbest tradition. Waste of time. Waste of money. Waste of resources. The guys do literally nothing. All for 2 days. I hated my freshman year pomping and mildly hated last year. I would vote to go in a different direction if it ever came up for a vote. Ditto the props to theta nd I think we should take their lead.
