tri delt
by: JWWithout a doubt, I think tri delt is a very good house. But does ONE good pledge class really put them at the very top? When I went through rush this hype about tri delt was none existant and now everyone on here is claiming they are one of, if not the best house? I don't mean to hate on the house, like I said I think they are very respected. But best? Last year they weren't even top tier. Maybe I am missing something

You see more tri delts out and more active than alpha chi? Where? At the Deke house? You obviously do not go here. Alpha chi, Chi O and alpha gam have the most active sorotiies of OR by far. It’s not even close. Ddd is more active than KD, kappa, and maybe PM— but not in the ballpark of the other 3 or some NR houses.

Tri Delt is a well-rounded house, has strong tradition, and they got an awesome PC 17 w lots of cute girls. That being said, their PC 16 was average, 15 was eh. There was not a lot of hype about them prior to PC 17. Why is one PC changing their rep so much? I saw tons of ranks last year placing them above only Alpha Gam in OR, calling them irrelevant, and one super strong PC puts them above everyone but Phi Mu? (Some people are saying they’re above Alpha Chi and Kappa too, depending on rank criteria). I agree they got some great momentum and I actually like DDD, but I don’t understand how one great PC brought them to major relevancy when “it takes more than one good PC” for every other house. Is it because Chi O struggled especially this year, so they switched? They weren’t known for taking many OOS girls before this year, it only kind of started rep wise w PC 16. (The nice thing is bc their in states are from a bigger variety of cities, there’s probably less of one group holding court but idk not a DDD). I’m not trying to bash Tri Delt, again I think they did really well and I like them as a chapter. I am, however, wondering why it only takes one PC for them to be a “tippy top” contender, when it takes other houses multiple to move up in their ranks.

You are only as good as your last pledge class, and tri delt got a really strong pledge class last year. I don't think it's changed their rep "so much." They've always had a reputation as a strong chapter.
It has helped that tri delt has become more open to OOS. It gives top PNMs another OR option besides AXO and PM, and tri delt is very strong nationally so that may be appealing.

If you'd actually ever stepped foot on our campus, you'd know a LOT of people like them. Are they top of OR? Not at all, but to say that no one likes them? That's BS that you're just spewing and hoping it sticks.
A LOT of girls want them through Recruitment and a lot of girls will continue to want them. That's reality and not some made up vision in your head.
