If people are so worried about houses numbers why aren't we talking about who had to give out COBs in the spring.

Very telling. Does this also show some houses just want to use formal recruitment because there is “cob shaming”? Places like kd and chio that had above average drops just reload in the fall and are not otherwise hurting for funds? And I still don’t get how adpi had 90 drops and nobody knows how or why, not did they cob. What is up with that?

Cob is based on total. A house may cob to total if they are below total but can’t cob at all if they are above.

No idea about adpi but a house may choose not to COB if they think they can make up for low membership with the next class.
Chi o is one of the biggest sororities on campus, so them losing 30 members is not a huge deal percentage wise, even though it looks like a lot of drops. Their one added member was a transfer anyway, not a COB. Like someone mentioned below, a house cannot COB if they are above total so houses like chi o and KD wouldn’t be allowed to do it even if they wanted to.
