help!!! just curious

by: PNM

So my family is from the north (and then moved to ATL when I was a kid). My parents and all relatives went to Ohio State and no one from either side has ever been in a sorority/ frat or showed interest. I have no idea what to expect during rush, but I honestly feel like it is a good thing to be a fresh face. I have a 3.9 GPA, 32 ACT, I am a fashion model in Atlanta, I serve in my church, I was actually committed to play volleyball in the ivy leagues so I am pretty athletic and active, because I model I assume I am found attractive, I was heavily involved in the majority of leadership clubs at my school, and I got rec letters for every house. I am just worried that since I have no connections and no one I really know was ever involved I will be at a disadvantage. Any suggestions or words of advice? Is OR really that much better than NR?

You sound like a fit for XO, AXO, ADPi, PBP or AOPi.

I’m in an Old Row house and it’s not a big deal if it’s not a big deal to you. Some people are obsessed with it, but most just pledge where they feel the happiest/most comfortable. Good luck in rush!

If you are from Atlanta you have some connections. There are Atlanta girls in every house. If they went to your high school or know you from something on your resume and have a favorable opinion of you, they will make themselves known to you during rounds.
