gpa

I’m taking college classes as a dual enrollment student and my high school gpa is great but my college gpa isn’t that great. Will sororities look at both or just my high school gpa? I’m scared I’ll get cut if they look at my college gpa!

Since your Duel Enrollment classes will be on your high school transcript, they will if they get your transcript.

This is a strange question for anyone to ask. You take Concurrent Enrollment, and it replaces a regular high school class. For instance, I took Calculus BC and Physics C at the local community college instead of math and science at my school. It not only shows up on my HS transcript, but it also is factored into my high school GPA and weighted like an AP class would be. If you did poorly in your CE classes, it would show in your HS GPA, so you wouldn't have one be terrible and the other great, because a bad grade in your CE classes would bring your overall GPA down.

Now, I suppose if your definition of bad is a B or something, it might not hurt your GPA that much, but then you wouldn't be worried about it to begin with.

As far as the second part, I have no idea what sororities see, since I'm a PNM.

Dual enrollment isn’t replacing any of my high school classes, I’m taking college classes in addition to my high school classes so I have a college gpa and a high school gpa that have nothing to do with each other. My college gpa isn’t terrible I was just wondering if sororities saw that. Thanks though!

Then what you're doing is NOT Duel Enrollment. It's a program with schools for kids who want to take college level classes instead of their regular classes. In my case, I took six total classes as part of Duel Enrollment, because they were not offered as AP classes at my school (tiny school, tiny town).

There are a lot of people who take college classes in addition to regular classes that aren't through their high school, just on their own. If your grades weren't great, did you submit them for consideration at Alabama? I have no idea if you're required to, because all mine were on my transcript through Duel Enrollment. I'm assuming you did, since you think there's a chance sororities will see it.

Yes we see both and yes we’ll take them both into account. We treat us like someone who is transferring that has a high school gpa and a college one (I can only speak for my own sorority, obviously) But it won’t look good if your college one is bad because it makes you think that you’ll perform similarly here
