I am really rooting for AOPi this year! Right now they are neither hated or loved by PNMs, not a bad chapter by any means but also not the most desirable during rush compared to other houses here. They're such an unprobelmatic chapter, and while there's something a little off about some of their girls when you talk to them, I get the vibe that the majority of them are really in Greek life for the right reasons, love each other, and love their chapter. They have a good national presence, so I hope AoPi becomes a little more prevelant on Alabama's campus this year.

AOPi and DZ will hopefully do better with their new houses. Pi Phi definitely will. Phi Mu will get the top PNMs and I could see DDD following close behind. Zeta will have a great rush as well I believe. Hope everyone regardless gets the PNMS they want and everyone ends up happy!

In the past, Although it had a select audience, APhi was not typically a house that hung around on cards of girls who weren’t interested. They had enough interest from those who were.

I expect this changes this year. And APhi will be on the list of girls in Sisterhood that may have ranked them low, but have been dropped by many other houses.

Will girls just not show up? One extreme

Or will they assesss their options. If APhi is on the list of girls who had deep cuts and few options - will they consider APhi a preferable option?

And, who (what type of girls) are these going to be? Is APhi going to hold true to its hot, insta QR crowd or try to change?

I am afraid a plan to “change” would be hard and there’s be few files willing to take a risk opposite other houses. Maybe if they did something “big” - like promote a new direction and hit I head on. Just don’t see that happening.

Just think it’s goong to be rough on them. And I do feel bad for the girls who are trying to hold it together.

I think alpha phi will struggle not only because of tent talk, but also because parents may have a big issue with their daughters pledging a sorority with a lot of negative press. Most girls pledging are not paying for the sorority themselves, their parents are footing the bill. The first thing that pops up on when you google Alabama alpha phi is the scandal and it doesn’t stop after just one page. When parents are looking up what houses their daughters have left (because they will google) that may be a huge turn off for parents and they may not want to spend thousands of dollars on alpha phi.

This negative Alpha Phi stream of comments is typical of every single pre-recruitment period. Yup, every year - same thing.

Think about that.

Many sororities that are only strong at Alabama and others who struggle during recruitment pile on. Every year. The alums are out of control and get on this site and target some groups they fear nationally. Kappa and Alpha Phi are usual targets due to their prominence.

To pnms - Judge for yourself after visiting the houses. There are too many insecure alums on this site who need to grow up.

Hoping to see houses like GPhi, Pi Phi, DDD, AOPi, KAT, and DZ go up. Always seeing them get ranked low despite being full of cool girls who enjoy being involved in greek life and show it. Not an expert on this stuff though but I think PBP, AOPi, and DZs new houses and the promise of KAT’s new house will help them, and DDD and GPhi got a lot of awesome girls last year who I’m sure will kill rush this year. A lot of the other houses don’t seem to have made any changes to better themselves. The rankings on this site have all become the same and I hope next year we can see some change, maybe level OR and NR. I know this may be controversial, but the APhi scandal helped inspire a change and I’m hoping that they make smarter decisions with their girls and eventually become more than the “hot dumb girl” house this site has labeled them as. Overall, hoping to see all of the houses prosper and reach their full potential. Pan Love.
