if you wanted or and didn’t get it, let it go
by: Tori
To the jealous girls on here that wanted Old Row and didn’t get in... please let it go. Every post on here is another rank or topic which then tries to bash the OR houses.
We get it. You wanted in. You didn’t get in. Now you’re a sore loser.
Bye.

REALITY CHECK:
NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO GO OLD ROW.
I know it must be hard to accept this fact. But it's true. Not every girl going through rush fawns over Old Row and if I'm being completely honest a good amount of girls don't even know what Old Row is. The posts on this site aren't bashing Old Row, if anything they're honest explanations as to why some OR houses shouldn't be ranked so highly (looking at you KD & AGD).
Stop acting like everything during rush revolves around OR because it doesn't. Grow up.

Not everyone is jealous of not being OR. I preffed two OR and one NR...I ranked the NR first. (My family has plenty of "connections". I was a NR legacy and by stereotypes fit perfectly in my legacy house...I pledged my legacy and I love it.) What I get tired of is the assumption that I'm not the "entire package" or that my "worth as a human being" is based on whether I'm OR. Some OR girls need to get over themselves and realize that there are many NR girls that ranked their NR house first and wouldn't change it.

It’s completely possible to point out faults in any organization, whether that’s OR or NR or literally any club on campus. It’s just when people say anything about OR they’re “jealous b’s” but when someone says something about NR it’s “Lololol yeah NR losers”. It’s hypocritical to think that OR has no issues of their own and that people are only saying things because they wish they were one. I preffed OR and NR and went NR because that was my vibe and there is nothing wrong with that. If you want to hang out with high school people for all of college and stay in AL then OR is for you. I wanted a little more diversity and difference and found my home in NR. Neither is better than the other.

I applaud NR for speaking up. I love OR and wouldn't cast shade but I'm not from Alabama and had no connections. I am OOR, love my sisters and all the girls I've met in my NR house who live all over the country.
If I had been born and raised in Alabama and selected an in-state school experience, I'd likely be OR too. Don't forget, many of us selected Alabama to gain a new experience. I could have gone to any house in my flagship state school if that's what I choose to do.
Let's just agree that OR and NR are both great for
different reasons. In fairness, OR does believe us NR
girls aren't "the total package" but in reality we may be, you just don't know us well enough to know better. \n\n\n\n\n
