biggest heartbreak

I opened up my pref card and balled my eyes out. But I did still have three houses left and I was much happier that I got my tears out before bid day. I'm still active in my sorority and love it and definitely wouldn't have fit in the houses I cried over. It all worked out in the end.

It was so hard going from 8 to 3 houses

I took harsh cuts bc of gpa when I rushed I knew I had a kind of low gpa (3.3) but I didn’t expect to get cut from so many houses I had friends in/ recs for/ etc. It was super disappointing at first but I ended up loving my house and can’t imagine myself anywhere else. It will all work out in the end guys just stick through it and you’ll find your sisterhood don’t be discouraged about the houses that didn’t want you, focus on the houses that did!

IWTs was the only round I was cut by houses. It was pretty heartbreaking because I was confused because I had recs / the grades/ looks for those houses

Philanthropy to sisterhood. My top 2 dumped me and I texted my mom how upset I was. I still had 7 houses, but only one was my top 3. The others were fine. Funny thing is after I finished my pity party, I went into those houses I had left and had a great time. One of my bottom choices became a real possibility because of the girl I connected with. However, I fell in love with my #3 house. I had three really good choices (for me) for pref and I ended up in my favorite. I have met the best, best girls in there.

Despite a stellar resume/grades and a couple acquaintances in multiple houses, I only had 7 houses after IWTs. That was a huge adjustment to make, but I actually kept all 7 through sisterhood and then had a full card on pref night. The houses that wanted me REALLY wanted me, and that's what mattered :)

after ice water teas when i was cut from all old row houses except phi mu and alpha gam. all i wanted out of rush was to be old row.

I didn’t really have a heartbreak moment, but I wanted a lower house that I loved at IWTs.

Not necessarily heart break, Im from far OOS and had recs sent to about half the houses where I knew family or friends.

I had an open mind and rush went well for me, got most of my favorites each round, full cards and ended up in the house that I wanted - a favorite which built up over the week.

BUT, I did get cut after IWT from one relatively low ranked house, that I kind of liked and rated reasonably high - had a close family friend who remains active in her chapter alumnae (not Bama) send a rec. Had good convos.

I’ll cant figure that one out. It still just kind of bugs me a bit.
