you are so so wrong. the only house i think a wide majority of pnm's really want back is:

Alpha Chi -- they make everyone feel so welcome that they WANT to come back. this is what they're known for. they have a good reputation too. of course i know there will be exceptions, there always are, but for the most part they do a great job at making everyone want to be an alpha chi.

and no, i'm not an alpha chi, they cut me after open house rip.

chi o has been boring af lately, not even drawing in the girls they actually want. and pi phi? that's a joke. pls tell me what their distinctions are. both great sororities, but not exactly the ones EVERYONE is dying to get back!!!

I agree with the OP. Chi O’s strength is that they don’t have a set in stone “type.” We all know the type of girl Phi Mu, Zeta and Alpha Phi go for. We all know the Kappa type. The KD type. I think Chi O and Tri Delt both benefit from pledging a variety of girls.

I do think Pi Phi probably has the highest return rate of new row because them and Zeta are imho the best two houses, but again, Zeta has such a distinct “type” that it is a turnoff to girls that aren’t that type. So Pi Phi is a great alternative.

I was a rho chi the last two years and imo unless you were a rho chi you don’t really have much good insight into what PNMs thought during rush.
AXO is the most popular house after IWT. As the week goes on it narrows down to girls who are their type, but the kill it at IWT. As someone above mentioned, they probably do the best job of making every girl feel wanted and special even if it’s a girl they are 100% about to drop.
I honestly don’t know which house is the most popular NR, because the majority of the southern girls aren’t interested so they don’t get the same initial hype. I’d probably say Zeta but they are not universally loved. TBH I didn’t hear pi phi get much hype from PNMs the last two years. ADPi was liked but again not much hype. APhi is pretty polarizing. GPhi was surprisingly popular last year but def not THE most wanted of the NR houses. DG and AOPi are very neutral and PNMs didn’t seem to care about them. DZ and Theta turned a lot of girls off

Everyone knows chi o got a pretty bad pledge class last year. I think the fact that they don’t have a “type” hurts them... they end up losing pnms to kd & kappa and axo & phi mu

everyone in my rho chi last year thought they were very natural / granola girls and nothing special but hey they do get there share of top pnms along with other old row houses

Why have I seen so much about Pi Phi lately? definitely not one of the talked about houses during rush

Tbh, I hated Pi Phi during rush. They were actually one of my least favorite houses. Maybe just the girls I talked to but I liked many houses, including many NR houses much more. No hate to Pi Phi but we all have different experiences!

Hmm/Gamma Phi & Zeta were at top New Row then Alpha Phi and ADPi going thru in 17 if u wanna talk about what most wanted

Alpha Phi does well at rush. No one wants to say it. But they are super nice and welcoming. I liked them and went there for pref.
