My unpopular opinion- can’t wait to get ripped to shreds for this one. Every person has their own POV in regards to each house. Over 3 years this is what I have come to on the houses I would want to be in. This is my list based on house rep, grades, social scene, sisterhood, are the girls nice to other people, would I be proud to wear their letters? IMO the thing that weighs the strongest is my own personal opinion, putting “the general opinions” aside, here is my list (each line in no order):
Tri delt, kappa, XO
ADPi, zeta, AXO, Phi Mu
AOPi, Alpha gam, Pi Phi, KD
DG, DZ
Theta, GPhi, alpha phi

Not an adpi, but have to admit they did a good job with me and I came very very close to taking them to pref. I had no connections or background with any of them, had much more elsewhere, and so went the easy route (I guess) and did not put them in top 3 after sisterhood. No regrets. Point is they are a fine house. Love their colors and love that porch.

Not sure where they “rank” or should rank but they are a good house. Very low key, but so nice. Many pnms should consider them.

Not an AOPi, I just know I wouldn’t mind wearing their letters over the houses in the bottom two tiers. This is no representation of where campus as a whole views the ranks of each house. This is just how I view them based on my experiences. Grades are not a huge factor for me because I can always push myself to make great grades. I do agree that grade rank is extremely important for a general rank, but this is not a general “which houses are top” rank. The ranks are mostly based on people I have met that I am friends with or could see myself having friends in house due to me vs their members. I know I really just wouldn’t see myself in any of the bottom 2 tiers (of my personal list). AOPi is mid for me because while they are low key and basically irrelevant on campus, I have met a lot of nice girls in their house.

@LOL this girl literally stated it was her opinion. Whether she was an AOII or not it wouldn't be considered "self-ranking" if she was just like "heres my opinion of the houses" she didn't say thats what everyone's opinion is. Its hers. & If she is an AOII obviously she likes her house?

I put ADPi twice but meant to have AXO in row 2. Not trying to stir the pot. Just showing anyone who reads GR that not everyone has an opinion of houses that is as rigid as the "ranks" make them seem. These are the houses I would like to be in, from most to least, no order in rows, just like the OP.

well i feel like you can make the same claim about kd and alpha gam? i feel like the only thing that truly separates these three houses is old row status, beyond that all three of these houses are extremely similar in status and pnm interest. adpi and alpha gam are on par with each other with grades and honestly adpi is slightly more involved than the other two. this isn't an argument FOR adpi, it's an argument against kd and alpha gam.
answer this - if you took away old row status, what gives kd and alpha gam that much of an upper hand that people vigorously defend their "status" above adpi?
