new houses
by: Guestwhat do yall think of the new houses? (pi phi, aopi, dz) Do you think it will help them with rush at all? will they be giving any tours too?

most people dont seem to like aopis house but I actually really like it alot. it reminds me of kappa with axo's square pillars. again, i think pi phis is too small and i hate their ceilings that are made with cardboard like you see in highschools lol. dz's is boring to me.

Phase I consists of the Alpha Phi, Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Chi Omega, and Chi Omega projects. Construction on these projects is either currently under way or will begin soon, and the estimated completion date is Fall 2014.
Phase II consists of the Kappa Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Phi Mu projects, and these projects are in the planning stages. Construction on these projects will begin upon completion of the Phase I projects. The preliminary estimated completion date for these projects is no later than Fall 2016.
Phase III will consist of Alpha Omicron Pi, Delta Zeta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Pi Beta Phi, and Zeta Tau Alpha. The commencement of these projects is dependent on the completion of Phase I and II.

I think that DZ’s and AOIIs look very similar (last I saw, haven’t been to campus since May). But I think AOII has a leg up bc of location. Being right in front of Bryant Denny is a huge leg up. DZ and PiPhi are gorgeous houses s well but they have to be crammed in what is becoming an extremely crowded row. I would take views of BD and the walk of champions over the brick wall of XO any day.

I'd take being a Pi Phi and having a view of a wall over being a dz or aopi any day

I think that Pi Phi's exterior is really pretty and one of the few sorority houses that don't look too tacky or McMansion-y (phi mu, alpha phi ew) But I agree with what someone else said that the ceiling tiles look really tacky like a school classroom or Church Basement, so I am assuming those are only in the basement and not anywhere in the first-third floors)....

I'm pretty sure most, if not all, houses have those weird high school ceiling tiles in their basements.

HeIl we have those on our living floors too. I would think most houses do they’re just easy to replace if something happens

Oh lord. They both took almost exactly a year to build, just like everyone else. Or maybe they spent more money and hired more workers. Ever think of that? Stop trying to cause drama where it doesn’t exist. Both houses will be beautiful and I wish da and aopi the best!!!
