How do houses determine a pmns pre-rush score? And does it carry over with pmn as the week go on?

the biggest thing that goes into a score before rush is legacy status. and then grades. and then involvement.

My house scores resumes, headshots, and location on a point system. For example, each leadership is +1, student government is +3, service work is +3. Instate is +5, southern is +3, far oos is +1, and some locations are actually negative points. Headshots are scored 1-5 I think.

(these are estimations of numbers but describes the basic system)

Yeah what locations give you negative points? That sounds absolutely ridiculous

What if our school didn’t have student government? That counts against us but I know I would have done it if it had been an option and I’m hoping to do student government at alabama

@Pnm - what kind of hs did you go to that it doesn't have a student gov't or student council?
I don't think it will count against you; you just won't get those points.

@uh public school in the north. We had national honor society and class exec councils but class execs only planned proms. A lot of other public schools in the area participated in state stuco my school just wasn’t allowed to

@Pnm - Your class exec councils is what student council/student gov't is. It has nothing to do with a state's student council.

My OR house doesn’t have a scoring system.. it’s pretty much based off if a girl is cute/ has good grades/ ect.. we have no legitimate scoring system.

Then how do they figure out who to cut the first few days? Most of the girls are cute and have decent to good grades.

Rush workshop: look at recs, if we don’t like a girl she gets dropped. If she doesn’t have a rec she gets dropped unless she gets good votes after IWT; We just don’t have like a +1 scoring system or anything like that is what I was getting at

Girls keep saying houses drop after IWT if there is no rec.

And while I am going to recommend them, between myself and a few friends in comparing cuts, ther isn’t a house that definitely drops because of not having a rec!

Between us, everyone moved on to at least Sisterhood in every house without a rec.

I am SURE the claim will be refuted, but I don’t know who is anonomously posting it. I ABSOLUTELY known from my real experience the above is 100 percent true.
