reasons for getting dropped entirely
by: pnmWhat are the main reasons someone would get dropped from every sorority during rush??

The number one reason is suiciding, or not exercising all your options. For example if you have two houses at pref, but only select one. That is suiciding and the most common reason for being dropped entirely.
It is pretty rare, but there are a few PNM's that may get dropped entirely because they are painfully shy, extremely awkward, and/or have a personality that is very different and stands out from the others - facial tattoos, excessive piercings and a green mohawk to give a slightly extreme example
However there will be 5 to 7% of the girls who drop because they lose interest, come to believe it's not for them, and/or don't like their remaining options

Just in case it happens, every once in a while there is a perfectly normal, average (even above average) looking pnm who falls through. Don't panick if this happens to you. With over 2,000 girls and all of our lists I am surprised it does not happen more. If you have decent/good/great grades, were able to hold conversations, were kind and polite in all houses, and really have no QR or other black marks talk to your Rho Chi. They are trained in this and dread this conversation as much as you but try to keep yourself together. If you are still interested in being a part of a house, let your RC know that you are willing to accept a SNAP bid. The Rho Chi will relay the information back and will be able to share that you are in fact a fine person who would be a great addition to a house. They are trained to spot the good ones who were let go because they fell through the cracks.
It is rare but if a mistake or oversight was made then it can be devastating because you will think there is something wrong with you. Please know mistakes to occasionally happen and you will be OK and if you are open, most likely find a house.

I know there was a house where the girlsI got matched with I just couldn’t relate to, and got dropped as a result. It only happened in one house, so I was able to see it as that. And subsequently a med others in the house that I like.
I never thought about this, but I guess there is a scenario where by bad luck someone just gets poorly matched in every house.
I guess with all the girls and over time It’s statistically rare but not impossible.
That would be awful!

I think it's clear but in case not, the last group above of 5 to 7% "quit". I think most of the things said above about Rex's, grades and reputations are most true about this group. They are technically voted out completely, but have limited options, and quit as a result
For a girl who will continue and take "any house" and use all her options - it is pretty rare to be dropped by all.
