I’m a sophomore rushing with a 3.01 GPA. Good or bad?

Ouch. It'll be rough. A freshman PNM with a 3.0 is basically a grade risk. So a sophomore with a 3.0 will not be highly sought after. It basically comes down to this - you've been in college for a year. You know the ropes and you've been around the block. Your college GPA reflects you must better than how a high school GPA reflects an incoming freshman. That being said, houses will look at your grades and say "they'll always be this low and it's not worth taking an upperclassman."

If you know girls in some houses that'll help you a lot so I'd suggest reaching out to them if you know any.

I agree we would think she’s getting a 3.0 every year and dragging down our house total

You'll be fine for most houses, people are being dramatic it doesn't carry THAT much weight in either direction. It won't hurt you but it won't help if you have a 3.0. It's kinda meh so i hope you have a clean reputation, are involved, and pretty. And you'll be fine for a good portion of houses

You are going to struggle with many houses. Most houses want to know that you are improving while in college or only slipping slightly. A “B” average isn’t the worst. But, most houses want at least a “B+” in college, knowing how much work it is doing all the sorority activities and maintaining your classwork. A 3.0 GPA will put you on social probation in many houses, depending on your college program. Be open to any houses that invite you back for rounds.

Why does everyone say a 3.0 puts you on social probation I'm in a house with top grades and we put girls with a 2.5 on probation and i know that's true for most OR houses
