XO, Kappa and Tri Delt are also among the top sororities nationally. Where I’m from, AXO and KD are terrible and I had never even heard of Phi Mu.

Every house has their weakness, and those 4 have been picked apart so recently. It’s like people are forgetting Phi Mu did COB last year after several mediocre PCs, and only this year got an awesome one. Alpha Chi is great but socially irrelevant

Are you joking? KD takes their share of legacies, but after that it is the left overs from AGD and Kappa.

But Kappa gets their legacies and some top girls, but then many AXO and pmu castaways.

xO is the is the not cute in state AXO wannabes then MS and Memphis girls.

DDD is the only one of those four in the running for most top pnms that are not already fir,lay committed elsewhere and are giving AXO and pmu the most competition.

Part of the legacy issue is that all OR, but KD, DDD and KKG especially, have been strong here for a very long time and have a ton of chapter legacies coming through every year. And the alums push hard for us to take them. A lot of these legacies are really great girls and their moms are part of what made the chapters strong in the first place and built these beautiful houses for us. Not all legacies are going to be a good match, but if they would fit in, it makes sense to take them if we can. But too many legacies and we don't have enough room for the other great PNMs we would like to take. And that's before we even get to the non-chapter legacies, who also deserve an extra look. So it's a balancing act.

PM (and kinda AXO) haven't been as strong for as long, and are not as strong nationally, so they don't have as many legacies coming through and have more room for unknown PNMs.

The 4 you list lose top legacies and pnms to alpha chi and phi mu who want to do more than party. It has happened big time in the last years to some of the most connected girls to KD and Kappa. Ddd also gets girls who want more than what KD and kappa have to offer.

You can still party in a smart house btw.

Don’t forget that Phi Mu had to COB last year. And prior to that had several years of mediocre pledge classes. Yes, they got a great class last year but that’s not the norm for them.
