cost

$50,000 is basically the cost for four years. Didn’t anyone realize the prices were getting too high. I have not found a college where being greek costs this much. At what point is it just burning money.

If you want to know if expenses are high for food, simply back out what you would pay for a food plan if you were not part of a sorority, for freshmen that is $1900. If it costs the college that much to provide meals, then it costs sororities that much to provide. Plus venues and buses are expensive. How much did you have to pay for your senior prom? $75/$100 per person?. Yea, that is about what it cost, per person, to rent the venue (which keep increasing in cost) and pay for transportation, etc. And here is the thing, venues are trending toward asking for extra insurance coverage, adding another $600-700 right on top of the venue bill. Finally, there is the massive building you live and meet in. What can you do? If your group had not build a giant mansion, then your house would be at the bottom.

When people talk about other school costs, first you must realize their social calendar is not the same. If their costs are not as high then they are not spending as much on parties.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.. this is the price it is stop trying to find loopholes in the system. There are THOUSANDS of girls in sororities who all pay dues. Believe me, if you were being scammed it would've brought massive attention already
